Biennials and figurative art (Hans Schmidt , Aurora)

by Hans Schmidt
(Berlin)

Can somebody tell me which biennials accept figurative art?

Hi Hans,
You are welcome to this Painting Discussion Forum. You have sent the first question and I am happy I can contribute in some way to answer it. Since I had a positive experience with Florence Biennale, I suggest you to take it into consideration. I have exhibited there in 2007 and, even if I am a narrative-figurative painter, I got an invitation to exhibit again in 2009. If a work of art, be it figurative or abstract, attains their standard, they accept it, without any prejudice.
There you don’t need to shock or to be extravagant. If you make good art, then you could be at the right place.
Aurora
